https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=272405 Summary: inkscape (of any version) crashes when using the text tool Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 3plus Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: glesage@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Inkscape, whether using the factory package, an autopackage from the website, or even when building from source, will crash when one uses the text tool. I believe this is not due to a bug in Inkscape (as the same autopackage worked on previous versions of SUSE just fine), but in some lower-level library, such as libstdc++. This bug probably affects other software in various ways too... it's most likely not limited to Inkscape alone. The simple way to see this problem is to use factory, then: 1) launch Inkscape 2) select the text tool on the left 3) click in the document 4) start typing As soon as one starts typing, Inkscape crashes. Here's a stack trace.
