https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=270479 Summary: OpenOffice ignores PPD options in JCLOpenUI/JCLCloseUI Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: openSUSE 10.2 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: OpenOffice.org AssignedTo: eward@novell.com ReportedBy: jsmeix@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de It seems OpenOffice ignores PPD options in JCLOpenUI/JCLCloseUI sections (i.e. it seems it shows only PPD options in OpenUI/CloseUI). To reproduce, use a PPD with options in JCLOpenUI/JCLCloseUI, e.g.: /usr/share/cups/model/manufacturer-PPDs/hplip/HP_LaserJet_4_Plus.ppd.gz Set up a test queue with this PPD: root@host# lpadmin -p lj4plus -v file:/dev/null -E \ -P /usr/share/cups/model/manufacturer-PPDs/hplip/HP_LaserJet_4_Plus.ppd.gz OOo doesn't show the "HPEconoMode/EconoMode" option in its printing dialog but "lpoptions -p lj4plus -l" and "kprinter" do. See the Adobe PPD specification about JCLOpenUI/JCLCloseUI: In general it is meant the same as OpenUI/CloseUI but applications can decide not to show JCL options to the user but I would not understand why OOo should not show JCL options intentionally. I have those OpenOffice packages installed: OpenOffice_org-Quickstarter-1.0-514 OpenOffice_org-templates-labels-a4-1.0-3 OpenOffice_org-2.0.4-38 OpenOffice_org-kde-2.0.4-38 OpenOffice_org-templates-en-2.0.4-10 OpenOffice_org-en-GB-2.0.4-38 OpenOffice_org-templates-presentation-layouts-2.0.4-10 OpenOffice_org-templates-labels-letter-1.0-3 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
