https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=218246 ------- Comment #5 from mfabian@novell.com 2007-03-14 13:47 MST ------- In the comparison of the "fc-list Futura" output in the last comment, it is apparent that fontconfig < 2.4.2 lists "Futura,Futura Hv BT" and fontconfig 2.4.2 lists it just the other way round: "Futura Hv BT,Futura". Could this possibly solve the problem? Can you please try to update to the latest fontconfig rpm from http://software.opensuse.org/download/M17N/openSUSE_10.2/ and see whether this helps? What program did you use to create the following screen shots in the https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=492 bugreport?: ------- Comment #8 From bugzilla@mbachert.de 2006-11-08 02:32:12 PST [reply] ------- Created an attachment (id=7702) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=7702&action=view) [details] right looking list of futura fonts ------- Comment #9 From bugzilla@mbachert.de 2006-11-08 02:32:57 PST [reply] ------- Created an attachment (id=7703) --> (https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=7703&action=view) [details] wrong looking list of futura fonts I ask because I cannot reproduce the "wrong looking list of futura fonts" from your screen shot. I tried with the KDE font selector and with the Gnome font selector and with OpenOffice on all the systems mentioned in comment #4. In all cases, the font selectors listed *all* names listed by fontconfig, for example both "Futura" *and* "Futura Hv BT". I.e. the update to fontconfig 2.4.2 didn't make any difference to me on any of my test systems as far as the list of the Futura fonts in the applications I tried is concerned. But that the order of the family names of those "Futura" fonts which have 2 family names is reversed in fontconfig 2.4.2 might make a difference, therefore I would like to know what happens on your system. And please tell me what font selector is shown in your screen shots. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
