https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=252667 Summary: Installation via http fails to find "libsqlite" Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 1plus Platform: i686 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Blocker Priority: P5 - None Component: Installation AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: delgado@dfn-cert.de QAContact: jsrain@novell.com I've tried a network install of openSUSE 10.3 via http today. I've used the following options in pxelinux.cfg/default on the dhcp/pxe/tftp server: label install10.3 kernel linux-suse-10.3.zi append netw:dhcp initrd=initrd-suse-10.3.ird install=http://ftp.opensuse.org/pub/opensuse/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source... textmode=1 proxy=proxy.domain.dom proxy-port=3128 I've downloaded the kernel and initrd from http://ftp.opensuse.org/pub/opensuse/distribution/SL-OSS-factory/inst-source... and renamed them to linux-suse-10.3.zi and initrd-suse-10.3.ird respectively. The text mode installer start up but tells me "there was an error". When I start the network installation again, manually, the installation system is loaded via http and I get an error on the console about "libsqlite" (with version number) missing. If this is not supposed to work (yet) please just ignore this bug. I thought it would have been a handy and quick method to try out the new alpha distribution, but it seems I have to download the iso.
