https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=251045 Summary: Date Reset to 28 Nov 06 and time 00;00 on every startup Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: john_g.ireland@virgin.net QAContact: qa@suse.de The CMOS date and time is reset to 28 Nov 06 and 00:00 everytime the computer is switched on. When the calander is opened from the start-up bar it cannot be closed and permenantly remains at the bottom righthand corner of the screen. The calander is inoperative. The clock and date can be reset using YAST however any changes only last for that session. Switching off and on reloading SUSE resets the clock to 28/11/06 00:00. When reset to the correct date then switching off and loading XP from a dual boot partition the clock settings remain as set - ie it does not change. Switching off and on booting into XP does not affect the clock - ie the CMOS battery is OK.
