https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=251040 Summary: logrotate: config option "size" not handled correctly Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: All OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: mike@m-buchau.de QAContact: qa@suse.de The logrotate package contains a bug which treats the "size" option the same way as the "minsize" option. If a logfile grows beyond the size specified in the "size" option, it doesn't get rotated and compressed on the next run of logrotate. With the default setting of "weekly" in /etc/logrotate.conf it would take another week before rotation takes place. On busy systems, this can easily lead to filesystem overflow. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
