https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=249161 Summary: elilo crashes on SGI Altix Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Alpha 1 Platform: IA64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: edwardsg@sgi.com QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: gp@novell.com I just upgraded my ia64 desktop (SGI Prism) to current openSUSE factory bits, and the elilo in factory does not boot on my box. fs1:\efi\SuSE> elilo -i initrd-2.6.20-4-default vmlinuz-2.6.20-4-default console=ttySG0 kdb=on POD entered via Unaligned Reference (57) (iva+0x5a00), using Cac mode 0 000: POD SysCt Cac> It drops into POD, which is the PROM utility/debugger that catches early crashes like this. From the message it seems to be unhappy about an unaligned reference. I'll check with our PROM guys and try to get some more information. The version that crashes is elilo-3.6-47. I copied elilo.efi from my previous ~ 10.2 factory root (elilo-3.6-42), and this one boots fine. I'm running PROM v4.73 FWIW. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
