https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=247366 Summary: upgraded glibc breaks usage of heartbeat quorumd Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: 64bit OS/Version: SLES 10 Status: NEW Severity: Critical Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: reitenbach@rapideye.de QAContact: qa@suse.de I am on a SLES 10, with the kernel of the day installed: kernel-smp-2.6.16.37-SLES10_SP1_BRANCH_20070217220152.x86_64.rpm (I need the kernel of the day, because the actual KERNEL of the SLES 10 is broken for the usage of OCFS2, I got that information on the ocfs2 mailing list, and installing that kernel fixed my problem I had with ocfs2) furthermore I use the heartbeat beta packages that are planned for the SP1, so I use heartbeat 2.0.8. I upgraded the whole system and the heartbeat cluster stopped to recognize the quorumd server. After a long time fiddling around, I found downgrading glibc fixed the problem. downgraded version: glibc-2.4-31.2 upgraded version: glibc-2.4-31.5 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
