https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=244439 Summary: "Lock display before suspend" is either buggy or not precise enough Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: sven.burmeister@gmx.net QAContact: qa@suse.de In kpowersave's settings one can enable/disable: "Lock display before suspend/stand-by". "Before" either means "any time before...", or "right before suspending". If it means any time before, it could lock the display at any time before suspend might happen, which of course does not make sense. However, currently the display is locked when starting the screensaver. If this is intended behaviour the feature should state this, i.e. "Lock display when starting screensaver, suspending going into stand-by." Best solution would be to allow the user to distinguish between locking the display when suspending and locking the display when the screensaver starts. In powersave-mode the screensaver kicks in quite early, but having to unlock the screen every time is annoying. Yet disabling the feature also disables the locking when suspending, which is not really an option. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
