As far as I remember I pressed Alt+C for "Cancel" (even if the shortcut
notation had been cited wrongly), and the kernel had been installed despite of
that. I did not try to reproduce the problem on the other machines, because I
don't want the kernel to be installed right now. I also think we are talking
about the same popup. Unfortunately I don't have a machine to play with at the
Regarding the bundle of the software: AFAIK, SLES10 is based on 10.1 basically.
As it's not possible to file bugs for SLES10 (that's a complicated issue here
because of the complicated organizational structure, not to talk about
