After troubleshooting this problem it turns out I have two wireless interfaces.
I'm not sure why but there is wifi0 and wlan0. Wlan0 is the correct interface
and works properly.

This said, I did a "ifconfig wifi0 down" prior to shutting down the system and
it didn't hang. So I'm not sure if I need the wifi0 interface but I will next
try to shut it down and see if wlan0 continues to work properly.

If it does I'm guessing that if remove the interface completely my problem will
be resolved.

I've attached a doc with the info you've asked for, the only thing is that I
was not on my wireless network at the time so it's not connected.

Either way here is the information you asked for, any advice is welcome!!!
