https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=242750 Summary: mount -oloop is racy Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: mkoenig@novell.com ReportedBy: mls@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de There's a race in the -oloop mount option: It first tries to find an unused loop device and then allocates it. If two mount commands are run at the same time, both will find the same free loop device, but the allocation will only succeed for the first one, resulting in a "ioctl: LOOP_SET_FD: Device or resource busy" error message. The search should be retried if EBUSY is returned from the ioctl. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
