https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=242311 Summary: X11 Emacs broken out of the box Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: i686 URL: http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse/2007-02/msg00517.html OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Major Priority: P5 - None Component: X11 Applications AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: novell@bennee.com QAContact: sndirsch@novell.com CC: novell@bennee.com I upgraded my box from SuSE 10.1 to OpenSuSE 10.2 and found emacs would no longer work in X11 mode. It seems to be an upgrade issue as some people obviously have it working fine. When I run emacs I get: 18:36 >emacs -q Warning: Cannot convert string "-*-courier-medium-r-*-*-*-120-*-*-*-*-iso8859-*" to type FontStruct Warning: Cannot convert string "-*-helvetica-medium-r-*--*-120-*-*-*-*-iso8859-1" to type FontStruct And all the text is rendered as "boxes". A more complex .emacs can often cause emacs to segfault. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
