https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=242074 Summary: Chinese word can not be distinguished on USB disk Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: x86 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Hotplug AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: weizhong.gao@uaes.com QAContact: qa@suse.de I use gnome of open suse 10.2, the Chinese word file names can not be distinguished on USB disk, I can only see ??? of the filename. After I right cleck the USB icon on desktop and changed the option with "iocharset=utf8" and remount the USB disk, the Chinese word can be distinguished. But after I unplug the USB disk and plug on again, the USB disk icon not appeared any more. How can I do then? (I can mount the USB disk in terminal using mount -t vfat -o iocharset=utf8 /dev/sdb1 /tmp, but it appeared very slow to do anything after that, use "ls" I can find hundreds of empty directory named root-orbit-???) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
