https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=239563 Summary: kpowersave's active scheme after problematic videoplaying Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Final Platform: x86-64 OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: f.alabas@ttnet.net.tr QAContact: qa@suse.de Whenever MPlayer ( from Packman repo.) unable to find a needed codec for playing a video file or in case of similar errors, thus it outputs usual warning message , then kpowersave can not restore/and switch to powersave or performance scheme "automatically" after I close the MPlayer application completely. Although I see it on kpowersave as switched, but not actually. I need to restart the kpowersave or to play a bit with kpowersave by clicking on different schemes. Please also note that I have also installed VLC ( from Packman repo. ) and reproduced exactly the same problem. However, the same problem does not happen with using Kaffeine. Another view point; various error messages when trying to play a video file using, at least, both MPlayer and VLC cause kpowersave to be left at presantation-like scheme after quiting the application. In the contrary, error messages with Kaffeine does not interfere the kpowersave, so after quiting the Kaffeine, kpowersave switches to powersave/performance scheme automatically !? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
