From the command-line things go:
jja at host:~> k3b ERROR: KUniqueApplication: Pipe closed unexpectedly. jja at host:~> I'm not sure whether the problem is due to the latest version of k3b or some other package. I originally reported this problem to www.kde.org, but according to them the bug is a packaging problem, not a KDE problem. That discussion can be found from the bug report: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138503 The complete list of the packages installed on my machine has been attached to the KDE-bug report. By the way, I'm running Suse Linux 10.1 on ThinkPad R50p without any such problems. The package configuration is different, however. My machine is a Lenovo/IBM ThinkPad T43p, manufactured 07/2005. Please do not hesitate to email for further questions.
