https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=221689 Summary: Yast2 Software Management panel always pops up maximized Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Beta 2 Platform: PC OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: raffo@cdi.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com For several SUSE Linux releases, the Yast2 software installation panel always pops up in a sort of maximized state. If you are under a KDE environment, you can click on the title bar to get it to an un-maximized size. However, on other window managers, like enlightenment or motif, the window pops up just really large, not maximized, even larger than the screen size. It's a pain to get it to a manageable size, since you have to resize the window manually. So, yast2 windowing behavior seems tied (or works only) in a KDE evironment. I'd prefer the window to pop up in a normal size. The user can always maximize, letting his/her window manager do it, instead of whatever the application is doing right now, that works only under KDE (as far as i know, I don't use gnome.) No other yast2 module seems to behave this way. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
