The postfix included with beta1 had an sasl bug which was fixed in this package, but this package has a bug in SuSEconfig.postfix script that causes the max_proc line to increment by a 0 each run of SuSEconfig (i.e. the default 10 becomes 100, then 1000, etc.), until postfix crashes.
