https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=218089 Summary: "eth0 renamed to ath0" ??? Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Beta 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: danw@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de I see this in dmesg: eth0: forcedeth.c: subsystem: 01462:0300 bound to 0000:00:05.0 ... eth0 renamed to ath0 I have no idea why it is doing that, and it makes NetworkManager unable to see the card (although it still works via ifup). Long ago, I had a PCI ath card in this machine, so it's possible there's a lingering reference to it somewhere in /etc, although I can't find it (but I don't really know where to look). I don't have the madwifi packages installed currently. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
