https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=216946 Summary: suspend2ram: laptop tries to resume when plugging in USB device while suspended to ram Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Beta 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Mobile Devices AssignedTo: behlert@novell.com ReportedBy: suse-beta@cboltz.de QAContact: qa@suse.de (using Factory from monday morning, somewhat newer than beta1) I have a strange behaviour with suspend2ram (powersave -u) on my Acer TravelMate 803 laptop: - boot with USB keyboard/mouse (Logitech cordless desktop) connected - unplug USB receiver for keyboard/mouse - powersave -u - plug in USB receiver while suspended Expected result: nothing Actual result: the laptop tries to resume (power led switches from suspend to on), but hangs (black display, no reaction to sysrq keys) Working suspend2ram cases are: - suspend with USB receiver permanently connected - suspend with USB receiver connected, disconnect while suspended - (suspend and resume without USB receiver not tested) I need vga=normal, otherwise the laptop hangs on resume. I did not test suspend2disk because I don't like to have the password of my encrypted /home written to swap in cleartext ;-) -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
