https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=216889 Summary: All fonts are listed with their English names instead of localized names. Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Beta 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: OpenOffice.org AssignedTo: eward@novell.com ReportedBy: zsu@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: mmeeks@novell.com, jjiao@novell.com Version: OpenOffice 2.0.4 In old version, such as OpenOffice 2.0.3 (SLE10), the fonts are listed with their localized names. That's because when querying fonts list from fontconfig, fontconfig will reorder the names of each font according to current locale, so that the localized font name, which matches current locale, will be placed in front of its English name. If application just pick the first name of each font, then it will be the correct localized name. But it seems that OpenOffice 2.0.4 will bypass this mechanism and use the English name of each font directly. The result of command "fc-list :lang=zh" under zh_CN.UTF-8 locale: 方正黑体,FZHeiTi:style=Regular 方正仿宋,FZFangSong:style=Regular Efont Fixed Wide:style=Italic Efont Biwidth:style=Bold Italic 方正楷体,FZKaiTi:style=Regular Efont Fixed Wide:style=Bold Italic Misc Fixed Wide:style=ko Misc Fixed Wide:style=ja Efont Biwidth:style=Italic 方正宋体,FZSongTi:style=Regular Efont Fixed Wide:style=Regular Efont Biwidth:style=Regular Efont Fixed Wide:style=Bold Gnu Unifont Mono:style=Regular Efont Biwidth:style=Bold Gnu Unifont:style=Regular You can see that if the font has Chinese name, it will be put in front of its English name. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
