https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=216244 Summary: NFS-Server should wait for network filesystems Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: i386 OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.1 Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Basesystem AssignedTo: ro@novell.com ReportedBy: lrupp@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de With the parallel bootscripts in 10.1 we run into a problem with re-exported filesystems as I can see. Szenario: The local machine should import some filesystems from other hosts via smbfs or nfs. Afterwards these imported filesystems should re-exported to other clients in the network. Sometimes the nfsserver initscript starts to fast: not all remote filesystems are imported at this time. The result can be different warning messages or just an empty export directory. My proposal: the /etc/init.d/nfsserver script should look into /etc/fstab for network filesystems. And if so, wait until these filesystems are mounted correctly bevore it starts the nfsserver. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
