https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=216166 Summary: /usr/bin/php should be a symlink to /usr/bin/php5 or the executable should use it's original name Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Beta 1 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: anosek@novell.com ReportedBy: judas_iscariote@shorewall.net QAContact: qa@suse.de Hi: Since 10.1 , there is no PHP4, however, the executable name remains php5, pear5..etc.. this is anoyying to me, and probably confusing to users. because 100% of the documentation or command line code for PHP out there uses the original name to refer to the php command line interpreter. Actually, there is no reason for this behaviuor. I expect either a symlink or the executables back to their original ( and documented) names. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
