https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=216101 Summary: YaST Time Zone selection does not take into account date presentation Product: SUSE Linux 10.1 Version: Final Platform: i386 OS/Version: SuSE Linux 10.1 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: alpha096@tpg.com.au QAContact: jsrain@novell.com During installation we select the time Zone by country that great, however this does NOT alter the date display on every file and indicated by the clock. For example the US format for the date is MM/DD/YY and this should apply to US based locations. For those locations, lime me the date format is DD/MM/YY. There is no ability I can see to effect the date format and it is not linked to the location chosen. Rather than try to link the correct date format to the location it might be easier to add a field in the installation location and YaST Date and Time to be able to choose the correct date format for the region. It starts to get really difficult to constantly re-read the date backwards for me and others who dont observe MM/DD/YY. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
