https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=213677 Summary: Onscreen keyboard for screen lock (fate #300346) Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Alpha 5 plus Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: KDE AssignedTo: kde-maintainers@suse.de ReportedBy: llunak@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de See attached patch. It is modelled after the support for XDM/KDM from, i.e. it uses xvkbd. For testing, there's line with "enable for testing" comment. It seems to work fine, except for popup menus, but they don't seem to be really necessary (but if really needed, I think I could add a hack to handle those too). As for security implications, I don't see any problems, with this patch per se at least. When the screen is locked, mouse events are forwarded only to xvkbd windows and xvkbd is run with -xdm (implying -secure), so I don't see any way to use this patch to get around the lock. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
