https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=211146 Summary: glxinfo hangs with fglrx Product: openSUSE 10.2 Version: Alpha 5 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: X11 3rd Party AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: claes.backstrom@gmail.com QAContact: sndirsch@novell.com I use ati fglrx-8.29.6 built with ati-driver-installer-8.29.6.run --buildpkg SuSE/SUSE102-IA32 my problem is that glxinfo hangs all it says is: claes@alpha5:~> glxinfo name of display: :0.0 and then it just sits there. It's the same thing with fglrxinfo, glxgears, fgl_glxgears and so on. This means that when I try to enable compiz gnome-xgl-settings --enable-xgl When I try to log in with gdm it just sits there (as it tries to run glxinfo and a grep after GLX_....) If I kill the glxinfo process it starts metacity and I can work. But I want to use compiz.
