Below is the steps that I've took, which is more or less as the same as what you've posted above. Nevertheless, I 've post it below just in case. ############################################################################ - Edit the file named 'Module/rtmp_def.h' as your item 3 above then cd /some directory/RT73_Linux_STA_Drv1.0.3.6/Module/ cp -v Makefile.6 ./Makefile make all cp -v rt73.ko /lib/modules/`uname -r`/kernel/drivers/usb/net/ mkdir -pv /etc/Wireless/RT73STA cp -v rt73.bin /etc/Wireless/RT73STA/ dos2unix rt73sta.dat cp -v rt73sta.dat /etc/Wireless/RT73STA/rt73sta.dat - Modify the file /etc/Wireless/RT73STA/rt73sta.dat for SSID=youressid EncrypType=WEP, that is if you are using WEP Key1Str=your_password_for_wireless insmod /lib/modules/'uname -r'/kernel/drivers/usb/net/rt73.ko dmesg - to confirm the presence of rt73 - Plug in wireless adapter here dmesg | grep rausb0 - to confirm the presence of rt73 depmod -a modprobe -l rt73 ifconfig eth0 down ifconfig rausb0 up iwconfig rausb0 essid youressid dhclient rausb0 ############################################################################ Michael Gross, something to highlight (maybe a bug?) 1. YAST still cannot pickup the USB adapter no matter what setting I tried. Is this a bug? 2. To start the wireless connection, you have to go to root in konsole and issue a "dhclient rausb0" after every reboot. Tried putting "dhclient rausb0" into a script named rt73.sh (chmod a+x) in folder /etc/init.d/ and as root issued a "insserv -d /etc/init.d/rt73.sh" thinking that it should auto connect upon reboot since it is using the exact same command but still not connection after reboot. Still have to go to root in konsole and issue a "dhclient rausb0" to get the connection. Is this a bug? Martin Lasarsch, Christian Boltz, I guess you can replace the SDB article with the portion mark within ####################. It works, only with the 2 outstanding items that I've highlighted to Michael Gross. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
