https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=203609 nteknikk@monet.no changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |nteknikk@monet.no ------- Comment #22 from nteknikk@monet.no 2006-09-12 15:10 MST ------- Experiences with i386 and x64 installations on two different hardware configurations: 1) i386 on K7 whitebox PC, ATI Rage128 and two mice connected: USB + PS/2 Both mice got wild cursor movements during the installation and also afterwards. Disconnected and reconnected the USB mouse after the installation and the problem was corrected. 2) x64 Dell Precision 490 workstation: Xeon 5160, NVidia FX550 Quadro, USB mouse Disconnected the USB mouse before the installation. Keyboard tab and input worked ok until the Configuration section of the installation started with hostname. From here also the keyboard got wild tab movements and didn't work most of the attempts, correspondingly large problems to type hostname, root password, user name and password and get the installation finished. After login to Gnome, reconnected the usb mouse but no cursor did appear. Rebooted and logged in again, saw a black arrow wild working, Gnome crash error widgets popped up (menu, panel etc). Tried more times with same problems, and had to give up this x64 installation so far. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is.
