hm. That's a side-effect of a new feature. Not a very nice side-effect I have to admit. I have to think about it but as a workaround, don't create a modified.xml a second time. So if your pre-script can't find any strings to replace, don't create a modified.xml. Or touch a file in /tmp and don't create a modified.xml when that file exists.
