Different in what sense? Autoyast uses xsltproc as well. Run yast2 in debug mode and grep the log files from /var/log/YaST2 for the occurance of "Merge command". The merge process generates alot of namespace garbage, autoyast removes those namespaces. To run in debug mode, start export Y2DEBUG=1. Anas
