However, if you feel like you can make those "tough calls" given your understanding of design or given a future goal on design, let's hear it and decide if this is something that can be achieved. The fact that you are trying to advance this process by making choices in a more closed environment, does not mean in any way that they are wrong or that they are bad. It simply means that they are personal. Let's share these ideas and projects that you have!
Ignoring the tone of your email and addressing your point, I think Marcus and I have done a good job of keeping people informed of our current and future direction. I would not categorise our work as 'closed', quite the opposite, every step of our thought and production process has been documented, step by step, on this mailinglist primarily and my twitter feed and google+ when we have anything especially shiny to show off, and will continue to be so, in the hope of involving more people, getting more help, and ultimately producing a better final result. If you re-read my email, you will see that not only am I laying out what I'm intending to do this evening and in the immediate future, but also suggest various ways other people can get involved, pitch in, give feedback, and ultimately, if they really don't like what we're doing, then I've done my best to show them all the other routes for them to follow (like producing a competing packaged proposal), even if I don't necessarily agree with that route nor want to see it happen And I've managed to all of that without in appropriately declaring anything I said as an 'official' artwork team announcement..fancy that? Back to work with me ;-) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-artwork+owner@opensuse.org
