About GNOME3, we've decided a few things last GNOME meeting:
1. Default is GNOME3 Adwaita theme, or any that is upstreamed;
2. We will ship alternatives themes, but we will demand a few things in return:
+ Theme has to be maintained in the future;
+ If the theme is good enough we will try to upstream it to GNOME
(this will work for GTK3 themes, for shell themes only if theming
becomes supported in the future.
+ We will search for this themes within the existing communities,
starting on Deviant Art...
If eventually you guys want to make another theme for GNOME, be aware
that Vincent wants it to be activelly maintained and upstreamed
(GTK3), while for gnome-shell themes it will be provided but not
defaulted since officially GNOME3 does not support themes. Please take
such proposals to a GNOME meeting, I'm sure people will love to ear
about them.

I have been trying to come up with a simple theme for opensuse, working wit= h qtcurve and then a color palette for the rest. This could be used as a base for the next release. Let's work on more than just a green wallpaper :D

I like. Ok, brown is the base color, but there is green. I also like the default color scheme, it is nice. I don't think we should even consider getting rid of Oxygen as default style in KDE and GNOME 3 has a lot of black and white so we need to look closely at the theming there too. But the background could work...
But what would you do with the splash screen(s), grub, stuff like that? I don't really see how this wallpaper would work there.
I do know ONE thing that would get MANY old-scool openSUSE people excited: the geometrical/math stuff we used to have in 'ze olde dayz'. If someone is good with a 3D modeller and can put something like that together - would be awesome :D
