Hi,
does someone tested the DSI output on RPi 1, 2 or 3 with Tumbleweed ? I may buy the 7" touchscreen for the RPi, but I would be sure it will work with Tumbleweed before. ;)
I never had the touch functionality of the screen work, unfortunately, but on the Pi 2, the 7" screen worked fine for me. On the Pi 3, it required turning off the actual graphics driver - see https://en.opensuse.org/HCL:Raspberry_Pi3#I_see_HDMI_output_in_U-Boot.2C_but... - and I didn't get much else than a text display work with the standard framebuffer loaded then. I hope that there will be a fixed vc4 driver or another variant to launch with a driver that fully supports the graphics chip on the Pi 3, otherwise I may look to a different solution (I wanted to run a browser on that screen and hoped to get better graphics performance on the 3 than on the 2, but right now, it's by far the opposite due to that driver situation).
Thanks for information. :) Guillaume
I never had or tried a Pi 1, though.
