Not only will it most likely not be EFI compatible, but it is also 32bit only. There is no 64bit support for the kernel at this time, and The Foundation are only just starting to investigate whether to support 64bit.
The advantage of this version over previous is an increase in performance and also integrated ethernet/wifi/bluetooth.
