Hello everyone: I'm using SuSE 9.1 / 64-bit mode and I'm trying to make a copy of the SuSE 9.3 DVD before I do the install. Now, the new 9.3 is a dual-layer DVD (more than 8 Gigs of data). K3B can 'read' the DVD/DL when 'forced' but when it comes time to write, I get an alert that says the 'media' [the blank DVD/DL] is not recognized.
The first dual layer burners appeared less than a year ago - and 9.1 appeared earlier. The 9.1 kernel and tools cannot write a dual layer DVD since the support is not implemented there. Reading is no problem.
My question: is K3B under SuSE 9.3 able to burn the dual-layer DVD/DLs? Or, is there another program I can use to burn my back-up copy. The burner does 'read' the dual-layer DVD/DLs so the problems seems to rest with the software.
We mastered the dual-layer DVD with 9.3, so it should work :-) Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj SUSE Linux Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126
