Thanks a lot!!!!! You have been very helpfull!!! The second method you stated ( adding the PCI bridge memory map) worked great. I jut try killall cardmgr and cardmgr again and it Worked!!!!
I had been wondering why the next day it did not work anymore, after I got it to work (by modifying config.opts, similar to what you've done). Then I found out that after a cold boot *no* card gets recognized. But as soon as I do a "killall cardmgr and cardmgr" and reinsert the card - it's there now! May be just a problem with my HP zv5188EA ? Or does anyone see that too? I just had been trying a couple of pcmcia modem cards an IT mall here, and even the ones supposed to work with linux (even working under DOS) did not get recognized :-( Now I have to go there again, and retest, this time *after* a "killall cardmgr and cardmgr" ==> if you see it *not* working after booting, try a "killall cardmgr and cardmgr" and reinsert the card. Now im able to see my Compaq Wl110 identified with cardctl info
