Hi- I just got my 9.2 upgrade from Chumbo ($57) it appears legal and has a 9.2 admin manual.
I installed on asus sk8v with 4gb ram (9.1 would NOT inatall with 4GB) and had the following issues: 1. Upgrading the existing system failed (I stuck in the 4GB before the upgrade) with a red dialog box so I just did a complete reinstall and it worked fine. 2. I have a 190GB NTFS disk as the master disc on my primary. Both 9.2 and 9.1 said /dev/hda could not be mounted. 3. WINE says it cannot open the X server but I don't care since I can dual-boot. 4. Top says I have 4GB of memory
I upgraded from 9.1 to 9.2 on an HP Pavilion as ZV5000 with 2GB with absolutely no issues. I have not yet tried WINE on this unit.
Both of my installations are the SUSE default except that instead of using the mount point/WINDOWS for the Windows drives I use /cygdrive for script compatibility with cygwin scripts when I'm running Windows XP.
I got my replacement Tyan tomcat mobo back from Monarch Computing yesterday as. However since the Asus board works with 4GB of memory I'm not going to test the Tyan.
