I have been attempting for the last week to get my wireless card working on my new 64bit laptop. I downloaded the 9.1 release when it was made available on June 4, 2004. The card is recognized correctly by "cardctl ident" but it fails to be initialized. I have attempted both the prism2_cs driver and the orinoco_cs driver. For the orinoco_cs driver I get back: (debugging turned on) cardmgr[4969]: socket 0: D-Link DWL-650 rev P 802.11b WLAN card kernel: eth1: -> orinoco_init() kernel: hermes @ IO 0x200: hermes @ 0x200: Card removed during reset kernel: eth1: failed to initialize firmware (err = -19) kernel: orinoco_cs: register_netdev() failed cardmgr[4969]: get dev info on socket 0 failed: Resource temporarily unavailable kernel: orinoco_cs: detach: link=000001000e1c0660 link->dev=00000000000000 ************************************************ For the prism2_cs driver I get (with debug on) hfa384x_corereset: Doing reset via CardServices() p80211knetdev_open: p80211knetdev_open: MSD is not running: .... returns a failure wlanctl-ng: No such device Configuration: Compaq Presario laptop R3120US athlon64 cpu 64bit SUSE 9.1 kernel 2.6.4-54.5 (suse current patche included) PCMCIA card DWL-650 ver p.r1 (prism chip set) also have tried the PCMCIA Hawking we110p card (prism chip set) Please let me know if additional information is needed.
