Hi Ambassador Please give a warm welcome to Aaron Luna, our new ambassador from Mexico.Below you can learn more about him and his relationship with openSUSE as he told us in his own words.
What have I done already for openSUSE:
I've done talks about the different distributions of linux and how pleasant surprise I found that 70% of viewers have felt a great curiosity to use openSUSE, in fact some of them used Ubuntu but when making a practice found openSUSE installation of the first view that was more pleasing to them, that was the trigger for initiating change to this great distribution ..... =)
Plans for promoting openSUSE the next 6 months:
I will make several events already in the first door, in the month of April is FLISOL (Latin American festival of free software installation), followed by several workshops and courses on Linux server configuration from March to August and in September the software freedom day event and obviously with openSUSE. Talks about why it is important to use an operating system that is free, create working groups with people who like the use of free sotware, ie generate a community of free software users, but specific to openSUSE, because something that I openSUSE really like is the versatility that it can work. All this in some Universities and Colleges
I'm ready to start promoting openSUSE!!!!!
Since few months I have been pushing harder promoting openSUSE and now I'll do even more strength, this is a project that will continue giving many achievements and I want to remain part of this promotion ...... =)
Tthe best kept secret of openSUSE.......
That is modern, safe, fast and stable, ready for the end user, especially prepared for the office, which is configured with a mouse, with a more than considerable selection of software available for installation, with great hardware recognition.
Why do I love to do this?
I love helping people, I enjoy sharing my knowledge and above all show that there are more possibilities that can help us in our daily lives, whether in the office, at home or with friends and openSUSE is a great tool that can help achieve this.
How did I start with Linux/openSUSE?
I started using openSUSE by the need to be present in my work when I was promoted to Network Administrator, I found that the servers were installed in telecommunications site were configured with Linux, specifically, with openSUSE.
What is my level of experience?
I am currently managing a network with servers configured with openSUSE and I am giving courses of installation and configuration of openSUSE. I can say that my level is administrator / instructor.
Have fun Kostas Koudaras
