Hello folks,
Following Henne's advice, I signed up today for a Novell account and prepared to correct the broken URLs on the Wiki page:
http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Ambassadors
There are some problems with the sign in procedure which I plan to report as soon as I find the right place to do that.
Worst of all, I'm unable to 'just do it' as Henne suggests, because every time I try to edit the page, I'm told:
'Please validate your email account to login and edit the wiki.'
Since I signed up one hour ago, I've successfully validated the email account twice. No idea... I'll keep waiting and trying, but my suspicion is that something is wrong.
The broken URLs in question are:
http://lists.opensuse.org/openSUSE-ambassadors/ http://lists.opensuse.org/openSUSE-marketing/
...which should be changed to:
http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-ambassadors/ http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-marketing/
Most likely there are many other such mistakes. Probably the Wiki would benefit from a broken link checking tool either running manually or as a cronjob.
One of the presenters at the conference talked about their disappointment of the Wiki, so it could be that there is a collaborative effort forming to improve it.
Regards, Michael
Michael, If you meant the 'Archives' links. I just logged in and got the corrected for you rather than wait for the email verification issue to sort itself out. :) -Matt -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-ambassadors+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-ambassadors+help@opensuse.org
