--- Comment #7 from Cédric Bosdonnat
Ok, then there will be a rewrite of the chapter lxc - "CREATING A ROOT FILE SYSTEM" for the openSUSE Leap 15 documentation. Should I patch Leap 42.3 doc with a zypper based way of creating a rootfs for lxc?
That would be awesome. But the way for Leap 42.3 would be different from the 15 one. For Leap 42.3, you need to do zypper --root /path/to/rootfs ar http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/leap/42.3/repo/oss/ OSS zypper --root /path/to/rootfs ar http://download.opensuse.org/update/leap/42.3/oss/ Update-OSS zypper --root /path/to/rootfs ref zypper --root /path/to/rootfs in -t pattern minimal_base echo "ttyS0" >>/path/to/rootfs/etc/securetty echo "root:YOURPASSWD" | chpasswd -R /path/to/rootfs I'll document the procedure for SLES-15, Leap 15 and TW once it is ready.
FYI, Cedric created https://fate.suse.com/321985 to track replacement of virt-create-rootfs with virt-bootstrap. this fate is SUSE only, or? I've no access to it.
Indeed it is as it is a SLES fate... so even SLES won't have virt-create-rootfs anymore as this tool is giving pain to everyone. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
