a comment character ("#")
* Fix a number of potential out of bounds memory accesses caused
by fuzzed / malicious file systems
* Fix a spurious complaint from e2fsck when a directory which
previously had more than 32000 subdirectories has the number
of subdirectories drops below 32000
* Fix an ismounted check when an LVM device is renamed while the

Child sessions now have their `attr_accessor` overriden to delegate to the

[#]# Rails 6.0.3 (May 06, 2020) ##
* Recommend applications don't use the `database` kwarg in `connected_to`
The database kwarg in `connected_to` was meant to be used for one-off scripts but is often used in requests. This is really dangerous because it re-establishes a connection every time. It's deprecated in 6.1 and will be removed in 6.2 without replacement. This change soft deprecates it in 6.0 by removing documentation.
* Eileen M. Uchitelle*
* Fix support for PostgreSQL 11+ partitioned indexes.
* Sebastián Palma*
* Add support for beginless ranges, introduced in Ruby 2.7.
* Josh Goodall*
* Fix insert_all with enum values
Fixes #38716.
* Joel Blum*
* Regexp-escape table name for MS SQL
Add `Regexp.escape` to one method in ActiveRecord, so that table names with regular expression characters in them work as expected. Since MS SQL Server uses "[" and "]" to quote table and column names, and those characters are regular expression characters, methods like `pluck` and `select` fail in certain cases when used with the MS SQL Server adapter.
* Larry Reid*
* Store advisory locks on their own named connection.
Previously advisory locks were taken out against a connection when a migration started. This works fine in single database applications but doesn't work well when migrations need to open new connections which results in the lock getting dropped.
In order to fix this we are storing the advisory lock on a new connection with the connection specification name `AdisoryLockBase`. The caveat is that we need to maintain at least 2 connections to a database while migrations are running in order to do this.
* Eileen M. Uchitelle*, *John Crepezzi*
* Ensure `:reading` connections always raise if a write is attempted.
Now Rails will raise an `ActiveRecord::ReadOnlyError` if any connection on the reading handler attempts to make a write. If your reading role needs to write you should name the role something other than `:reading`.
* Eileen M. Uchitelle*
* Enforce fresh ETag header after a collection's contents change by adding
ActiveRecord::Relation#cache_key_with_version. This method will be used by
ActionController::ConditionalGet to ensure that when collection cache versioning
is enabled, requests using ConditionalGet don't return the same ETag header
after a collection is modified. Fixes #38078.
* Aaron Lipman*
* A database URL can now contain a querystring value that contains an equal sign. This is needed to support passing PostgresSQL `options`.
* Joshua Flanagan*
* Retain explicit selections on the base model after applying `includes` and `joins`.
Resolves #34889.

[#]# Rails 6.0.3 (May 06, 2020) ##
* Cache compiled view templates when running tests by default
When generating a new app without `--skip-spring`, caching classes is
disabled in `environments/test.rb`. This implicitly disables caching
view templates too. This change will enable view template caching by
adding this to the generated `environments/test.rb`:
````ruby
config.action_view.cache_template_loading = true
````
* Jorge Manrubia*
* `Rails::Application#eager_load!` is available again to load application code
manually as it was possible in previous versions.
Please, note this is not integrated with the whole eager loading logic that
runs when Rails boots with eager loading enabled, you can think of this
method as a vanilla recursive code loader.
This ability has been restored because there are some use cases for it, such
as indexers that need to have all application classes and modules in memory.
* Xavier Noria*
* Generators that inherit from NamedBase respect `--force` option
* Josh Brody*
* Regression fix: The Rake task `zeitwerk:check` supports eager loaded
namespaces which do not have eager load paths, like the recently added
`i18n`. These namespaces are only required to respond to `eager_load!`.

[#]## 3.9.2 / 2020-05-02
[Full Changelog](http://github.com/rspec/rspec-core/compare/v3.9.1...v3.9.2)
Bug Fixes:
* Emit a warning when `around` hook is used with `:context` scope
(Phil Pirozhkov, #2687)
* Prevent invalid implementations of `Exception#cause` from being treated as a
valid cause (and causing strange errors) in `RSpec::Core::Formatters::ExceptionPresenter`.
(Jon Rowe, #2703)
* Correctly detect patterns when `rspec_opts` is an array in `RSpec::Core::RakeTask`.
(Marc-André Lafortune, #2704)
* Make `RSpec.clear_examples` reset example counts for example groups. This fixes
an issue with re-running specs not matching ids. (Agis Anastasopoulos, #2723)

Bug Fixes:
* Mark ripper as unsupported on Truffle Ruby. (Brandon Fish, #395)
* Mark ripper as unsupported on JRuby 9.2.0.0. (Brian Hawley, #400)
* Capture `Mutex.new` for our `RSpec::Support:Mutex` in order to
allow stubbing `Mutex.new`. (Jon Rowe, #411)
==== rubygem-simplecov ====
Version update (0.18.1 -> 0.18.5)
- updated to version 0.18.5
see installed CHANGELOG.md
0.18.5 (2020-02-25)
===================
Can you guess? Another bugfix release!
[#]# Bugfixes
* minitest won't crash if SimpleCov isn't loaded - aka don't execute SimpleCov code in the minitest plugin if SimpleCov isn't loaded. Thanks to [@edariedl](https://github.com/edariedl) for the report of the peculiar problem in [#877](https://github.com/colszowka/simplecov/issues/877).
0.18.4 (2020-02-24)
===================
Another small bugfix release ? Fixes SimpleCov running with rspec-rails, which was broken due to our fixed minitest integration.
[#]# Bugfixes
* SimpleCov will run again correctly when used with rspec-rails. The excellent bug report [#873](https://github.com/colszowka/simplecov/issues/873) by [@odlp](https://github.com/odlp) perfectly details what went wrong. Thanks to [@adam12](https://github.com/adam12) for the fix [#874](https://github.com/colszowka/simplecov/pull/874).
0.18.3 (2020-02-23)
===========
Small bugfix release. It's especially recommended to upgrade simplecov-html as well because of bugs in the 0.12.0 release.
[#]# Bugfixes
* Fix a regression related to file encodings as special characters were missing. Furthermore we now respect the magic `# encoding: ...` comment and read files in the right encoding. Thanks ([@Tietew](https://github.com/Tietew)) - see [#866](https://github.com/colszowka/simplecov/pull/866)
* Use `Minitest.after_run` hook to trigger post-run hooks if `Minitest` is present. See [#756](https://github.com/colszowka/simplecov/pull/756) and [#855](https://github.com/colszowka/simplecov/pull/855) thanks ([@adam12](https://github.com/adam12))
0.18.2 (2020-02-12)
===================
Small release just to allow you to use the new simplecov-html.
[#]# Enhancements
* Relax simplecov-html requirement so that you're able to use [0.12.0](https://github.com/colszowka/simplecov-html/blob/master/CHANGELOG.m…
==== rubygem-simplecov-html ====
Version update (0.11.0 -> 0.12.2)
- updated to version 0.12.2
see installed CHANGELOG.md
0.12.2 (2020-02-27)
==================
[#]# Bugfixes
* Refreshing the page while a source file is open works again. Thanks [@HansBug](https://github.com/HansBug) for the report [#94](https://github.com/colszowka/simplecov-html/issues/94) and [@Tietew](https://github.com/Tietew) for the fix!
0.12.1 (2020-02-23)
==================
Bugfix release to fix huge bugs that sadly test suit and maintainters didn't catch.
[#]# Bugfixes
* Disable pagination and with it all files on 2nd page+ being broken/not able to open
* Fix display of non ASCII characters, for this you have to upgrade to simplecov 0.18.3 though (it's handled in there)
0.12.0 (2020-02-12)
==================
This release is basically a collection of long standing PRs finally merged.
Yes it looks different, no it's not a redesign - just a side effect of lots of dependency updates to improve CSP compatibility.
[#]# Enhancements
* The HTML should now be servable with CSP settings of `default-src 'none'; script-src 'self'; img-src 'self'; style-src 'self';`
* File list is horizontally scrollable if the space doesn't suffice
* numbers are now right aligned and displayed with the same number of decimals for easier comparison and reading.
[#]# Bugfixes
* Make sorting icons appear again
* close link tag which could cause problems when parsing as xhtml/xml
* make sure encoding errors won't crash the formatter
* When viewing a short source file while you have a big file list you will no longer be able to scroll on after the source file has ended

and Minitar::Input#extract_entry. Provide `:fsync => false` as the last
parameter to enable. Merged from a modified version of PR [#37][].
- updated to version 0.8
see installed History.md
[#]# 0.8 / 2019-01-05
* inkstak resolved an issue introduced in the fix for [#31][] by allowing
spaces to be considered valid characters in strict octal handling. Octal
conversion ignores leading spaces. Merged from a slightly modified version
of PR [#35][].
* dearblue contributed PR [#32][] providing an explicit call to #bytesize for
strings that include multibyte characters. The PR has been modified to be
compatible with older versions of Ruby and extend tests.
* Akinori MUSHA (knu) contributed PR [#36][] that treats certain badly
encoded regular files (with names ending in `/`) as if they were
directories on decode.
- updated to version 0.7
see installed History.md
[#]# 0.7 / 2018-02-19
* Fixed issue [#28][] with a modified version of PR [#29][] covering the
security policy and position for Minitar. Thanks so much to ooooooo\_q for
the report and an initial patch. Additional information was added as
[#30][].
* dearblue contributed PR [#33][] providing a fix for Minitar::Reader when
the IO-like object does not have a `#pos` method.
* Kevin McDermott contributed PR [#34][] so that an InvalidTarStream is
raised if the tar header is not valid, preventing incorrect streaming of
files from a non-tarfile. This is a minor breaking change, so the version
has been bumped accordingly.
* Kazuyoshi Kato contributed PR [#26][] providing support for the GNU tar
long filename extension.
* Addressed a potential DOS with negative size fields in tar headers
([#31][]). This has been handled in two ways: the size field in a tar
header is interpreted as a strict octal value and the Minitar reader will
raise an InvalidTarStream if the size ends up being negative anyway.
- Remove bsc_1021740.patch for CVE-2016-10173
This vulneribility has been fixed by upstream with v0.6.1:

[#]# [2.0.3] - 2020-12-28 - [Janosch Müller](mailto:janosch84@gmail.com)
[#]## Fixed
- fixed error when scanning some unlikely and redundant but valid charset patterns
- e.g. `/[[.a-b.]]/`, `/[[=e=]]/`,
- fixed ancestry of some error classes related to syntax version lookup
- `NotImplementedError`, `InvalidVersionNameError`, `UnknownSyntaxNameError`
- they now correctly inherit from `Regexp::Syntax::SyntaxError` instead of Rubys `::SyntaxError`
[#]# [2.0.2] - 2020-12-25 - [Janosch Müller](mailto:janosch84@gmail.com)
[#]## Fixed
- fixed `FrozenError` when calling `#to_s` on a frozen `Group::Passive`
* thanks to [Daniel Gollahon](https://github.com/dgollahon)
[#]# [2.0.1] - 2020-12-20 - [Janosch Müller](mailto:janosch84@gmail.com)
[#]## Fixed
- fixed error when scanning some group names
* this affected names containing hyphens, digits or multibyte chars, e.g. `/(?<a1>a)/`
* thanks to [Daniel Gollahon](https://github.com/dgollahon) for the report
- fixed error when scanning hex escapes with just one hex digit
* e.g. `/\x0A/` was scanned correctly, but the equivalent `/\xA/` was not
* thanks to [Daniel Gollahon](https://github.com/dgollahon) for the report
[#]# [2.0.0] - 2020-11-25 - [Janosch Müller](mailto:janosch84@gmail.com)
[#]## Changed
- some methods that used to return byte-based indices now return char-based indices
* the returned values have only changed for Regexps that contain multibyte chars
* this is only a breaking change if you used such methods directly AND relied on them pointing to bytes
* affected methods:
* `Regexp::Token` `#length`, `#offset`, `#te`, `#ts`
* `Regexp::Expression::Base` `#full_length`, `#offset`, `#starts_at`, `#te`, `#ts`
* thanks to [Akinori MUSHA](https://github.com/knu) for the report
- removed some deprecated methods/signatures
* these are rarely used and have been showing deprecation warnings for a long time
* `Regexp::Expression::Subexpression.new` with 3 arguments
* `Regexp::Expression::Root.new` without a token argument
* `Regexp::Expression.parsed`
[#]## Added
- `Regexp::Expression::Base#base_length`
* returns the character count of an expression body, ignoring any quantifier
- pragmatic, experimental support for chained quantifiers
* e.g.: `/^a{10}{4,6}$/` matches exactly 40, 50 or 60 `a`s
* successive quantifiers used to be silently dropped by the parser
* they are now wrapped with passive groups as if they were written `(?:a{10}){4,6}`
* thanks to [calfeld](https://github.com/calfeld) for reporting this a while back
[#]## Fixed
- incorrect encoding output for non-ascii comments
* this led to a crash when calling `#to_s` on parse results containing such comments
* thanks to [Michael Glass](https://github.com/michaelglass) for the report
- some crashes when scanning contrived patterns such as `'\?'`

==========
[#]# Bugfixes
* `maximum_coverage_drop` won't fail any more if `.last_run.json` is still in the old format. Thanks [@petertellgren](https://github.com/petertellgren)
* `maximum_coverage_drop` won't fail if an expectation is specified for a previous unrecorded criterion, it will just pass (there's nothing, so nothing to drop)
* fixed bug in `maximum_coverage_drop` calculation that could falsely report it had dropped for minimal differences
0.21.1 (2021-01-04)
==========
[#]# Bugfixes
* `minimum_coverage_by_file` works again as expected (errored out before ?)
0.21.0 (2021-01-03)
==========
The "Collate++" release making it more viable for big CI setups by limiting memory consumption. Also includes some nice new additions for branch coverage settings.
[#]# Enhancements
* Performance of `SimpleCov.collate` improved - it should both run faster and consume much less memory esp. when run with many files (memory consumption should not increase with number of files any more)
* Can now define the minimum_coverage_by_file, maximum_coverage_drop and refuse_coverage_drop by branch as well as line coverage. Thanks to [@jemmaissroff](https://github.com/jemmaissroff)
* Can set primary coverage to something other than line by setting `primary_coverage :branch` in SimpleCov Configuration. Thanks to [@jemmaissroff](https://github.com/jemmaissroff)
[#]# Misc
* reduce gem size by splitting Changelog into `Changelog.md` and a pre 0.18 `Changelog.old.md`, the latter of which is not included in the gem
* The interface of `ResultMeger.merge_and_store` is changed to support the `collate` performance improvements mentioned above. It's not considered an official API, hence this is not in the breaking section. For people using it to merge results from different machines, it's recommended to migrate to [collate](https://github.com/simplecov-ruby/simplecov#merging-test-runs-unde….
0.20.0 (2020-11-29)
==========
The "JSON formatter" release. Starting now a JSON formatter is included by default in the release. This is mostly done for Code Climate reasons, you can find more details [in this issue](https://github.com/codeclimate/test-reporter/issues/413).
Shipping with so much by default is sub-optimal, we know. It's the long term plan to also provide `simplecov-core` without the HTML or JSON formatters for those who don't need them/for other formatters to rely on.
[#]# Enhancements
* `simplecov_json_formatter` included by default ([docs](https://github.com/simplecov-ruby/simplecov#json-formatter)) this should enable the Code Climate test reporter to work again once it's updated
* invalidate internal cache after switching `SimpleCov.root`, should help with some bugs
0.19.1 (2020-10-25)

If it is easy to list, I would assume that you will do that long time ago
instead of repeating ALL, SAME etc, blanket listings that someone else has to
fill with actual feature names. If I would be so passionate defender of good
old KDE{1,2,3} I would long time ago have a list.

Icon size settings came in mind as first candidate to remove first, but it is
ported.
With desktop that can show SVG (vector) graphic it is useless.
How many more KDE3 options is useless too?
That is why guys that want to create new desktop, without ballast of features
(and settings) that were seldom used, asking time and again what is missing.

It seems quite opposite. For instance, see below:

What you see?
I can tell you what I see, a guy that is so focused on current soultion that
can't see feature that will improve overall experience of his users, and it
is not so original solution, as Vista has right side of the wide screens
occupied with something that resembles on taskbar. Move (mumble) taskbar on
side, instead to learn users to hide/unhide it all the time.
See for instance this:
http://en.opensuse.org/Image:KDE4-4.1-oxygen-sample-custom.jpeg
Whole height is yours, and no hiding/showing.

The GUI in KDE4 has new capabilities, and it can work fine in a new way
without old features. Why should one port "all" when in lesser then year no
one will ask for many them.
For instance, new icons can be SVG graphic. Resizable at will, so what good
will bring module to set sizes. It is already ported, but once users get used
that icons can be any size they want, on case by case basis, allowing them to
sort desktop in a new way, it will be just a piece of bloat. See Thunderbird
icon on above image. It is fixed size image, not vector graphic. It fits fine
in old concepts, but it is not the best in a new one.
And so on.
Even more important, is that what users want is important to developers
because they are nice guys, but they have no obligation to the users. It is
just the opposite. They gave us their work for free. We owe them.
What would you say if you give money to somebody and instead of thank you,
hear that you are stingy, banknote was old, and whatnot.

What market share?
Others are closing doors big time. With openSUSE KDE3 users have at least
Build Service as an option to be at newest stand, with others there will be
no options, but to stay with old release. Other are not afraid to loose
market share, why should be openSUSE worried when it is offering more.

Fred, you want to wait until it has "all" the features and configuration.
How it will happen?
When KDE labs find right features that fit new layout and capabilities, than
develop and test all software. :-)
Good idea, but it is FOSS, lab is our skin.
I'm not delighted with some KDE4 perks, but I'm trying to help transition and
be over with it. Procrastinating visit to dentist will not remove a pain.

Not correct. The handling of URLs and protocols is independent of each
repository type. What do you mean with "some types can only be fetched
from some locations" ?
Obviously, the "a directory with RPM files without metadata" repository
type only works with local filesystem.
There's not really an alternative to that, because it requires file
discovery on the directory + reading every RPM file to load the RPM
headers (for metadata) + there's no possibility to cache a "smart
update" on that.
You wouldn't want that behavior on remote URLs ;)
That's the only "limitation" I can see - if it's something else, please
give some details ;)

There is no autodetection of repository type at all, period.
Where have you seen that feature mentioned ?
You must always explicitly tell smart that it's a rpm-md, apt-rpm,
yast2, ... type of channel you're creating.
And it's not even a goal either, for similar reasons as above.
While it _could_ be implemented for FTP or local filesystem, file
discovery is not possible with HTTP (parsing Apache mod_autoindex is not
really an option). The alternative would be to ask every repository
backend to try to fetch its specific files and see if some of them reply
"ok" + some sort of repository type preference handling, because one
location can contain several metadata types (e.g. yast2 and rpm-md).
Could be done, in theory, but that's not really a goal as of now, and
I'm not sure whether it's really needed either.
You must know the repository URL anyway, it's not like it was some magic
one-click discovery of all SUSE repositories.
Also, you can just ship a .channel file that contains all information
(name, type, URL) and you can even embed mirror information with the
patch I've added to my smart RPMs.
This is e.g. what is done in the Build Service (even if they're called
".repo" files in there, they work with smart), e.g.:
smart channel --add \
http://software.opensuse.org/download/Java:/jpackage-1.7/SUSE_Linux_10.1/Ja…
I'd really like to see that in YaST2/zypp BTW.

Sounds like a bug and/or a place for improvements.
Could you file a bug and provide as much details as possible ?

smart upgrade foo
And for the GUI, I don't see what you mean...
View -> Hide non-upgrades
View -> Hide installed
and you get a list of upgrade candidates.
There, as with YaST2, you can right click a package and select "Install"
(or just double-click the package).
Could you give some more details here ?
> * There is no obvious "tell me what you're gonna do" if I click on
> something potentialy desastrous, like the "go for it" button.
Hmm.. you get a change summary for every action, you have a Summary
Window that shows you the currently selected actions, and finally
there's a "Execute changes" button and menu option to actually perform
the transaction.
When you trigger "Execute changes", you see the summary again, where it
shows what operations it will perform, also showing what packages will
be upgraded, what will be uninstalled, what will be installed, etc...
You also get that information from the shell and CLI interfaces.
When you run "smart upgrade" from the CLI, there's an additional
"--explain" switch that will give you more details about the decision tree.
What else would you like to see ?
> * It needs to handle patch and delta rpms.
Ok. I wonder if there's some form of specification for that.
Also, would need to see whether it's doable in a clean way from Python,
as it's totally not integrated with rpm itself (i.e. it's not in librpm).
> * Log windows can extend way below the bottom of the screen, no scroll

Ok. What windows exactly ? (the "operation progress" window is resizable)
> * A quick-launch icon-status thing for the KDE panel along the lines of

Erm... there is already ;)
Install the "smart-ksmarttray" package and start "ksmarttray".
> * Personal preference, but I don't like the gnome look.
That's hardly a feature or flaw ;)

You want to see the updates that are already installed ? oO
You mean exactly like YaST2 Online Update ?
"the updates currently available for packages I have installed":
View -> Hide non-upgrades

Wow, I can hardly agree with you here, that sounds a lot like cheap
bashing rather than constructive criticism.
Smart is way more than a proof-of-concept.
Actually, it's saving the day for SUSE 10.1 for quite a lot of people.
And as far as the "SUSE standard" for package management is concerned,
let me say this (and I really love SUSE Linux, been using it since 5.0):
- - the "old" YaST2 package manager is/was awfully dumb, you had to do a
lot of stuff manually - smart is lightyears ahead and has the smartest
resolver of all package management frontends (I didn't say it's perfect,
but it's really damn good)
- - the current YaST2/zypp/... - well, we'll see once it's finished ;)
My opinion is that smart sets the bar pretty high for the yast2/zypp
package management.
cheers

Version update (0.9.2 -> 0.9.3)
Subpackages: pinentry-gtk2 pinentry-qt4
- No longer increase the default secure memory size from 16k to 64k,
as further memory would be locked from being paged to disk by the
pinentry-gnome3 UI, generating an error message and failing to
lock. Remove moreSecureMemoryForPinentry-qt.diff - [boo#933687]
- pinentry 0.9.3:
* new pinentry-gnome3
* Improved documentation

==== python-Twisted ====
Version update (15.1.0 -> 15.2.1)
- Wrong dependency rpm name, should be python-pycrypto
- Add missing dependencies on python-asn1 and python-Crypto
- Update to version 15.2.1:
* twisted.logger now marks the `isError` key correctly on legacy
events generated by writes to stderr. (#7903)
* twisted.logger's documentation is now correctly listed in the table
of contents. (#7904)
- Changes from version 15.2.0:
* twisted.internet.process has now been ported to Python 3. (#5987)
* twisted.cred.credentials is now ported to Python 3. (#6176)
* twisted.trial.unittest.TestCase's assertEqual, assertTrue, and
assertFalse methods now pass through the standard library's more
informative failure messages. (#6306)

feature-rich logging framework. The old module twisted.python.log
is now implemented using the new framework. The new logger HOWTO
documents the new framework. (#6750)
* twisted.python.modules is now ported to Python 3. (#7804)
* twisted.python.filepath.FilePath now supports Unicode (text) paths.
Like the os module, instantiating it with a Unicode path will
return a Unicode-mode FilePath, instantiating with a bytes path
will return a bytes-mode FilePath. (#7805)
* twisted.internet.kqreactor is now ported to Python 3 (#7823)
* twisted.internet.endpoints.ProcessEndpoint is now ported to Python
3. (#7824)

to validate idna2008 names. (#7853)
* Don't raise an exception if `DefaultLogObserver.emit()` gets an
event with a message that raises when `repr()` is called on it.
Specifically: use `textFromEventDict()` instead of a separate (and
inferior) message rendering implementation. (#6569)
* twisted.cred.credentials.DigestedCredentials incorrectly handled
md5-sess hashing according to the RFC, which has now been fixed.
(#7835)
* Fixed an issue with twisted.internet.task.LoopingCall.withCount
where sometimes the passed callable would be invoked with "0" when
we got close to tricky floating point boundary conditions. (#7836)
* twisted.internet.defer now properly works with the new logging
system. (#7851)
* Change `messages` key to `log_io` for events generated by
`LoggingFile`. (#7852)
* twisted.logger had literal characters in docstrings that are now
quoted. (#7854)
* twisted.logger now correctly formats a log event with a key named
`message` when passed to a legacy log observer. (#7855)

properly on Python 3.4 and above. (#7886)
* Fix a typo in narrative documentation for logger (#7875)
* tkunzip and tapconvert in twisted.scripts were deprecated in 11.0
and 12.1 respectively, and are now removed. (#6747)

twisted.positioning. (#6810)
* twisted.scripts.tap2deb and twisted.scripts.tap2rpm are now
deprecated. (#7682)
* twisted.trial.reporter.TestResult and
twisted.trial.reporter.Reporter contained deprecated methods (since
8.0) which have now been removed. (#7815)

[#7831], #7838, #7865, #7866, #7869, #7872, #7877, #7878, #7885
* twisted.conch.ssh.forwarding now supports local->remote forwarding
of IPv6 (#7751)
* twisted.mail.smtp.sendmail now uses ESMTP. It will
opportunistically enable encryption and allow the use of
authentication. (#7257)
* twisted.web.static is now ported to Python 3. (#6177)
* twisted.web.server.Site accepts requestFactory as constructor
argument. (#7016)
* twisted.web.util had some HTML generation functions deprecated
since 12.1 that have now been removed. (#7828)
* #6927, #7797, #7802, #7846
* The resumeOffset argument to
twisted.words.protocol.irc.DccFileReceive now works as it is
documented. (#7775)

* Wayland 1.8 splits the client and server header files into core
and generated protocol. The core headers can be included as
wayland-client-core.h and wayland-server-core.h. The scanner

==== libfreebl3 ====
Version update (3.19 -> 3.19.1)
Subpackages: libsoftokn3 mozilla-nss mozilla-nss-certs mozilla-nss-devel mozilla-nss-tools
- update to 3.19.1
No new functionality is introduced in this release. This patch
release includes a fix for the recently published logjam attack.
Notable Changes:
* The minimum strength of keys that libssl will accept for
finite field algorithms (RSA, Diffie-Hellman, and DSA) have
been increased to 1023 bits (bmo#1138554).
* NSS reports the bit length of keys more accurately. Thus,
the SECKEY_PublicKeyStrength and SECKEY_PublicKeyStrengthInBits
functions could report smaller values for values that have
leading zero values. This affects the key strength values that
are reported by SSL_GetChannelInfo.
==== libncurses5 ====
Subpackages: libncurses5-32bit libncurses6 ncurses-devel ncurses-utils tack terminfo terminfo-base
- Add ncurses patch 20150530

+ add several screen.XXX entries to support the respective variations
for 256 colors -TD
+ add putty+fnkeys* building-block entries -TD
+ add smkx/rmkx to capabilities analyzed with infocmp "-i" option.

* Global aliases can be created for syntactic tokens such as command
separators (";", "&", "|", "&&", "||"), redirection operators, etc.
* There have been various further improvements to builtin handling
with the POSIX_BUILTINS option (off by default) for compatibility with
the POSIX standard.
* 'whence -v' is now more informative, and 'whence -S' shows you
how a full chain of symbolic links resolves to a command.
* The 'p' parameter flag now allows an argument to be specified
as a reference to a variable, e.g. ${(ps.$sep.)foo} to split $foo
on a string given by $sep.
* The option FORCE_FLOAT now forces variables, not just constants,
to floating point in arithmetic expressions.
* The type of an assignment in arithmetic expressions, e.g. the
type seen by the variable res in $(( res = a = b )), is now
more logical and C-like.
* The default binding of 'u' in vi command mode has changed to undo
multiple changes when invoked repeatedly. '^R' is now bound to redo
changes. To revert to toggling of the last edit use:
bindkey -a u vi-undo-change
* Compatibility with Vim has been improved for vi editing mode. Most
notably, Vim style text objects are supported and the region can be
manipulated with vi commands in the same manner as Vim's visual mode.
* Elements of the watch variable may now be patterns.
* The logic for retrying history locking has been improved.

[opensuse-factory] up vs dup with commerical intel compilers installed
by Fabian Wein
Hello,
I'm a TW user and hope that I'm right here with my question, if the
forum is more appropriate, please tell me.
I have TW and the following commercial intel packages installed:
C/C++, Fortran, MKL (part of the compiler) and vTune Amplifier.
The software is installed by a script and it always takes some time to
install.
I used to do zypper up because with zypper dup I have to reinstall my
intel stuff and it always takes more than an hour.
Recently I did a zypper up but no after some hours away I cannot log
in graphically. I just see the mouse. After init 3 followed by init 5
on the text console I get an ugly X window displaying "could not syn
environment to dbus.". I assume that a zypper dup might help?!
BTW I use nuveau (as far as I know). I use KDE.
However zypper dup --no-allow-vendor-change will remove my intel stuff.
sudo zypper dup --no-allow-vendor-change

tarball with a 2.0-874 tarball, but still includes the
Factory-latest compressed diff patch file, though it is
now empty. See Changes file for functional change details.
==== perl-DBD-mysql ====
Version update (4.037 -> 4.039)
- updated to 4.039
see /usr/share/doc/packages/perl-DBD-mysql/Changes
2016-11-15 Patrick Galbraith, Michiel Beijen, DBI/DBD community (4.039)
* Fix for security issue Out-of-bounds read by DBD::mysql CVE-2016-1249 (pali)
2016-10-30 Patrick Galbraith, Michiel Beijen, DBI/DBD community (4.038_01)
* Fix compilation of embedded server (pali)
(https://github.com/perl5-dbi/DBD-mysql/pull/68)
* Fix compilation against libmariadbclient. First version by
H.Merijn Brand, improved by Bernt Johnsen @ Oracle.
* For efficiency use newSVpvn() instead newSVpv() where possible (pali)
* Correctly coerce fetched scalar values when mysql_server_prepare is
not used (pali)
* Add support for fetching columns of BIT type with
mysql_server_prepare = 1 (pali)
Fixes https://rt.cpan.org/Public/Bug/Display.html?id=88006
* Use correct format in printf instead of casting variable types (pali)
* Include errno.h for MYSQL_ASYNC because it uses errno variable (pali)
* Travis: also test on perl 5.22 and 5.24.
- updated to 4.038
see /usr/share/doc/packages/perl-DBD-mysql/Changes
2016-10-19 Patrick Galbraith, Michiel Beijen, DBI/DBD community (4.038)
* Version 4.037_1 had fixes for MySQL 8.0 provided
Bernt Johnsen @ Oracle that were not in the Changelogs
(https://github.com/perl5-dbi/DBD-mysql/pull/56)
* Fixes for compiling against newer libmysqlclient on Windows (kmx)
* Fix unit test for 40server_prepare_crash on Windows (pali)
* Perl's IV in scalar can store 64bit integer when perl was compiled
with 64 bit support (default on 64bit linux with gcc). Use this
feature and stores MYSQL_TYPE_LONGLONG as integers instead of strings
when possible. (pali, https://github.com/perl5-dbi/DBD-mysql/pull/57)
2016-10-14 Patrick Galbraith, Michiel Beijen, DBI/DBD community (4.037_01)
* Newest versions of libmysqlclient and the MariaDB C connector no longer
export the __WIN__ macro. If this macro is not present we would not
compile in the poll.h-based async-support. Changed to use the _WIN32
macro instead. Thanks to Sergei Golubchik for suggesting the fix.
* Fix from Pali Rohr to not use unsafe sprintf with variable lengt,
changes to bind logic, and added test 40server_prepare_crash.

[#552]
==== python3-cffi ====
Version update (1.8.3 -> 1.9.1)
- update to version 1.9.1:
(no changelog available)
- changes from version 1.9:
* Structs with variable-sized arrays as their last field: now we
track the length of the array after ffi.new() is called, just like
we always tracked the length of ffi.new("int[]", 42). This lets us
detect out-of-range accesses to array items. This also lets us
display a better repr(), and have the total size returned by
ffi.sizeof() and ffi.buffer(). Previously both functions would
return a result based on the size of the declared structure type,
with an assumed empty array. (Thanks andrew for starting this
refactoring.)
* Add support in cdef()/set_source() for unspecified-length arrays
in typedefs: typedef int foo_t[...];. It was already supported for
global variables or structure fields.
* I turned in v1.8 a warning from cffi/model.py into an error: 'enum
xxx' has no values explicitly defined: refusing to guess which
integer type it is meant to be (unsigned/signed, int/long). Now
I?m turning it back to a warning again; it seems that guessing
that the enum has size int is a 99%-safe bet. (But not 100%, so it
stays as a warning.)
* Fix leaks in the code handling FILE * arguments. In CPython 3
there is a remaining issue that is hard to fix: if you pass a
Python file object to a FILE * argument, then os.dup() is used and
the new file descriptor is only closed when the GC reclaims the
Python file object?and not at the earlier time when you call
close(), which only closes the original file descriptor. If this
is an issue, you should avoid this automatic convertion of Python
file objects: instead, explicitly manipulate file descriptors and
call fdopen() from C (...via cffi).
==== whois ====
Version update (5.2.12 -> 5.2.13)
- whois 5.2.13:
* Use "domain" instead of "=" for default verisign-grs queries,
to ignore the name server names spam.
* Fixed make_ip_del_recovered.pl, which generated non-functioningi
data.
* Added the .xn--90ae (??, Bulgaria) TLD server.
* Updated the .bd, .jobs and .mobi TLD servers.
* Added new ASN allocations.
* Added new recovered IPv4 allocations.
* Updated the crsnic.net hiding string to fix hiding for .bi.
* Updated the list of new gTLDs.
==== wireshark ====
Version update (2.2.1 -> 2.2.2)
Subpackages: wireshark-ui-gtk
- Wireshark 2.2.2:
* CVE-2016-9372: Profinet I/O long loop (boo#1010807)
* CVE-2016-9374: AllJoyn crash (boo#1010752)
* CVE-2016-9376: OpenFlow crash (boo#1010735)
* CVE-2016-9373: DCERPC crash (boo#1010754)
* CVE-2016-9375: DTN infinite loop (boo#1010740)
* Further bug fixes and updated protocol support as listed in:

[opensuse-factory] eth0 and dbus problems after upgrade to 12.1
by Dave Plater
Already sent to opensuse list with no reply yet.
I updated via 12.1 x86_64 dvd and because I maintain multimedia, I included a few build service repos in thye upgrade. I used zypper dup
from 11.3 to 11.4 without problems but this time there are problems which I assume stem from /var/run being a tempfs. I've searched threads
on this list and factory list and googling only brought up similar Ubuntu problems but no real help.
First problem was having to manually "ifup eth0" to get my network going, I've fixed that with adding "ifup eth0" to
"/etc/init.d/boot.local" but the other problem has me stumped.
As kde is starting it halts on a message box stating a similar message to this syslog one, clicking ok continues to desktop :
pam_systemd(xdm-np:session): Failed to connect to system bus: Failed to connect to socket /var/run/dbus/system_bus_socket: No such file or
directory
Thinking that this was caused by the tempfs I also created the dbus directory in boot.local but it doesn't fix anything. I'm surprised that
no one has reported a bug and it seems I'm the only one to have this problem, it's maybe leftover from my 11.4 kernel getting mangled when
I recompiled with certain extra cdc_phonenet options and then when I updated my non openSUSE VirtualBox-4.1 to 4.1.8 my network died. I
fixed this with the 11.4 tumbleweed kernel.
Please help, here's a section of my /var/log/messages with lots of the above error message and my boot.msg is at
http://pastebin.com/Zpn9AnTp , I'm a bit nervous using pastebin for this so it expires after one day. :
