I agree, but it's not the only one we're run into recently:
file /usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so.1 conflicts between attempted installs of
x11-video-fglrxG01-8.532-1.1 and x11-video-nvidia-96.43.07-0.1
they should not be installed in parallel to my understanding; thus they have to conflict each other
file
/usr/share/hal/fdi/information/20thirdparty/10-usb-music-players-libmtp.fdi
conflicts between attempted installs of libmtp8-0.3.4-2.1 and libmtp7-0.2.6.1-16.1
the lib<xxx><n> has to contain the library files and shlib versioned information. the fdi files should not be in the lib<xxx><n> packages to my understanding.
file /usr/lib/libmp4v2.so.0.0.0 conflicts between attempted installs
of
libmp4v2-1.5.0.1-10.pm.0 and libmp4v2-0-1.5.0-11.1
packaging bug at PM? the PM version does not adhere to the SHLib policy. Best would be to report it to the package maintainer of libmp4v2 at PM. This should be solved.
