Have you looked at the patch? I could have called the flag SEARCH_SKIP_TO_COLON_FOR_SOLVABLE_ATTRIBUTES_WHILE_SEARCHING but thought that would be a bit excessive. This optional behaviour is meaningful to libzypp, independent of kinds being a term for the solver or not. The solver also doesn't care about globs and still we have a search flag that modifies searches to interpret the term as glob, or matching case insensitively.
