[zypp-devel] switching to git during christmas?
We ZYpp developer's OK, and Michael Schröder gave ok for the sat-solver. I will be around during Christmas, and as we will branch Code11 during the next days anyway, it may be good time to do this step during Christmas as there will be no activity in the repos. Note, the action items for a successful switch would be: - update wiki pages of libzypp and sat-solver. - cruise control needs research (and this is perhaps the trickiest part) - get all public keys to me, for each machine you use to _push_ (not commit) from. - the rest, I think it is in place (I already have converted the whole repo in the past and I have the scripts). It would be nice to see the actual diff in the commit logs via mail, like with svn. Also, do I need to do anything? As I don't know git very well, I'm not sure if I commit or push anything. Yes, I am working on that.

Ciao, Michael.
You can always commit, as you commit to your cloned repository, which is as "complete" as the one hosted on opensuse.org. To _push_ your commits, I only need your ssh pubkeys to give you access via ssh. And for beginning I found this very useful: http://git.or.cz/course/svn.html -- ******************************************************************************* Stefan Schubert SUSE LINUX GmbH - Maxfeldstrasse 5 - D-90409 Nuernberg, Germany e-mail: schubi@suse.de ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: zypp-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: zypp-devel+help@opensuse.org

BTW, the latest mail to the commit mailing list is including the diffs again (actually I fixed it yesterday but I was waiting for someone to push to verify ;-) ) Duncan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: zypp-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: zypp-devel+help@opensuse.org
