[zypp-devel] zypper in 10.2

Hi, just a question: Why are there many changes in the 10.2 repository for zypper that are not included in autobuild? Compare <somewhere>/zypp/branches/SuSE-Linux-10_2-Branch/zypper/package/zypper.changes with /work/SRC/old-versions/10.2/all/zypper/zypper.changes ciao Arvin -- Arvin Schnell, <aschnell@suse.de> Software Engineer, Research & Development SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: zypp-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: zypp-devel+help@opensuse.org

The answer is simple: SuSE-Linux-10_2-Branch is also used for SLE10-SP1. The changes were made because of the SLE10-SP1 and submitted to autobuild for it. It did not come to my mind in all that hurry to submit them to autobuild for 10.2 as well... However, now i don't see any reason why not, all those fixes are well suited for 10.2 as well, will resubmit. Please don't. Submissions to 10.2 should only be done by explicit request from maintenance. Klaus --- SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: zypp-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: zypp-devel+help@opensuse.org

Ok, so bug #325556 must also be fixed for SLE10-SP1. ciao Arvin -- Arvin Schnell, <aschnell@suse.de> Software Engineer, Research & Development SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: zypp-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: zypp-devel+help@opensuse.org

Well, no. The affected program zypp-checkpatches-wrapper is deleted while building the package for SLES10-SP1. We were lucky this time :) ciao Arvin -- Arvin Schnell, <aschnell@suse.de> Software Engineer, Research & Development SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: zypp-devel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: zypp-devel+help@opensuse.org
