Not really. If I generate a solver testcase and run the solver with updatesystem set to true, it also selects >1000 packages. Seems to be a bug somewhere else...
Uh oh, not true actually. It is a bug in the solver, it depends on when the system repository is added to the pool. That's why it works in the solver testcase, where system always comes first... Fixing...
