I do not think this is needed. In the end, this is just a package install.
Well, but then when you do a rollback, you cannot distinguish between zypper in foo; rpm -e foo; zypper in foo and zypper in foo; zypper in --force foo Don't know if this is an issue, since you you will want to rollback the last zypper in and in these cases the expected result is different :-/ Anyway, this case is probably not an issue.
