Welcome to Peace as a result of the Open Source Day
Hello together, yesterday we took part of the hackathon the Open Source Day (for German people more an Open Source Night with Pacific Time ;)). We have received some new Contributors for our s390x port. I want to say "Welcome!" on our mailing list to Peace from Nigeria. She was really happy with the first tasks and want to continue as part of our time. Therefore, our team is growing. We have received some small fixes for packages yesterdy. Additionally, we wanted to start with the enablement of our Docker Images for s390x. IBM has sponsored some VMs for this event. We figured out, that httpd and tomcat are not buildable on SLES SP2 (default in LinuxONE Community Cloud) because of the Docker version. Httpd had problems with group permissions and Tomcat had problems with the Sysconfig of the application server. Then we took the chance to upgrade one VM to openSUSE Tumbleweed (with success). Afterwards, we did not have any issues with building Docker Images for httpd and Tomcat any more. Both worked afterwards. Best regards, Sarah
Hello Sarah, thank you for the warm welcome:) Indeed, it was an impactful Open Source Day and glad to be part of this great team! I am looking forward to completing more tasks and resolving issues. Warm regards, Peace

Welcome, Peace. I think you'll find working on mainframe "stuff" interesting and fun. Mark Post
