Hello together,
I am happy to announce, that Accenture wants to support us with a project based working time sponsoring. We are allowed to enable Kubernetes platforms for s390x with the creation of container images. Michael, Holger, Siarhei, Francesco, Pedro and Roberto are joining our team now. Accenture is providing the possibility to use until 8 hours/week for open-source projects, NGO contributions, conferences and other stuff. We (of this Circle group) want to use this time for openSUSE. :-)
Our team is growing and we have got many new team members with different background. Some are really good in DevOps/containers and others in mainframe stuff. I thought about bi-weekly training sessions for knowledge sharing, that all can contribute everywhere and can understand the background of our team and openSUSE contributions.
The best matching time for German/Nigerian volunteers is in the evening (USA in the morning). Is there any special day or time for you all, which is not matching with your family or any hobby? Then answer here, that we can find the best time for all! Then we can start next week with the first introduction how to create container images on the mainframe.
Best regards, Sarah
P.S. For all new people: 1) Feel free to ask questions on this mailing list. 2) Another communication channel is #opensuse-zsystems on Libera.Chat.
